  • Why I think this is my most successful image:

I consider this image of Bugs Bunny on a newer TV taken with my Sony Cybershot camera to be my most successful because it combines elements of nostalgia with modern technology. The juxtaposition of a classic cartoon character with the new digital display of the TV creates an interesting contrast that draws the viewer’s attention. The image also captures the vibrant colors of the animation, highlighting the capabilities of my camera in low light, while keeping the details of the TV screen sharp and clear.

  • The most challenging aspect of this assignment:

The biggest challenge was managing the lighting and reflections from the TV screen. As the TV emits light directly, it was difficult to balance exposure without causing glare or losing detail in the image. I had to retake the image twice to prevent unwanted flash or reflections on the television.

  • What I will do in the future to create stronger images:

In the future, I will focus more on composition and framing. I would have liked the TV to be a bit more right in frame to provide a more interesting photo and better look into the surrounding room. I'll explore using a tripod or stabilizer for sharper images when dealing with indoor lighting and screens.

Hi Emma! I really liked your photo of Bugs Bunny and the themes you related it to. The contrast of the older cartoon with the newer television is creative and provides the image with a deeper meaning. The soft lighting and wooden dresser also contributes to the vintage feel of the photo and brings a sense of comfort. Great job, and I'm excited to see more!
